Rants, raves, and passion for the country we love

Barack Hussein Obama and his traveling hoard of extremist liberals want to bail out the auto industry now. What will they think of next? Here's why Hussein's latest push for socialism is a bad idea... besides the fact that it's socialism.
  • Hussein campaigned saying he wanted "relief for Main Street."
    • How is bailing out US auto makers going to help main street? Any type of relief needs to have a lasting effect, otherwise it is just a very expensive bandage on a mortal wound. Yes, people will lose jobs if the big three go under, but they keep announcing more and more layoffs every year anyways, and have been for a long time. Even if the auto industry is given a large amount of tax payer money, there will still be large layoffs, and the industry will still be just as broke as it is now. Wasting money on a bailout is just putting off the inevitable.
    • Why are the liberals pushing so hard for the bailout? Easy, the bailout should cover their asses with less layoffs from the auto industry over the next few years (before the automakers burn through the bailout money and end up in the same predicament). The money should provide just the right amount of time to "cook the books" on the unemployment rate for Hussein and the rest of the democrats in their bids for reelection in 2010 and 2012. Of course, that is if Hussein doesn't declare himself benevolent dictator for life and do away with elections all together.
  • This is a huge liberal step towards full blown socialism.
    • The democrats, and especially Hussein, love the state the economy is in right now. They want to act as saviors to the poor. And it may very well seem as though they are helping middle America. But the help will be short lived. The auto industry will not stop having these problems until they completely revamp everything about themselves. They will not stay relevant as the world pushes towards fuel efficiency and alternate energy.
    • The bailout would give the democrats a perfect opportunity for the government to "step in" and "lend a hand" to failing companies, and in turn put them under complete government control. Of course this would all happen under the guise of the government making sure the taxpayers' money is used properly.
    • This is just one of many, many pushes the Hussein government will make to increase the size and influence of the government in the lives of ordinary Americans. We, as Americans, need to get it straight that Hussein and his government DO NOT care about people... they care about controlling people, down the the smallest details of their lives. This is just the foot in the door, taking over our corporations, starting with the largest and working their way down to the mom and pop shops.
  • Experts say that bailing out the failing auto industry is a very bad idea
    • The US auto industry was failing long before the economic problems started. The industry will continue failing, unless it is completely revamped, which no amount of taxpayer money will help.
    • New and innovative industries, and obsolete failing ones are capitalism. Companies with fresh new ideas grow and prosper. When they become obsolete, they die. It is survival of the fittest.
    • The big three all started out small. The decisions they made turned them into thriving corporations in the free market. Over time they gave up innovating and are becoming irrelevant around the world and in the United States. This paves the way for newer and smaller companies with great ideas to make it big. This is what America is all about. This is what Hussein refuses to understand.
    • He wants to bail out the auto industry for the same reasons he wants to steal money from rich people who worked to get where they are and give it to lazy, uneducated people who don't feel like working for their living. People and corporations alike should not be granted some "right" from the government to taxpayer money.
    • Where will it stop? We are currently bailing out banks, now a proposed bailout for the auto industry, who else is gonna want some free money from the government.
    • The bailout will not work because not enough consumers are buying overpriced, substandard vehicles from American auto makers. Instead of bailing out dying corporations, use a portion of the original bailout money to fund upcoming businesses that are using new technology to save Americans money. It will create new jobs, and save Americans from higher taxes, and help with our need for energy Independence.
