Liberals, who are bar none the biggest human-hating, tree-huggers around, should love the idea of global warming... If what they allege turns out to be true, humanity will be wiped out, and they will get exactly what they wanted all along, a world with no human influence. Do they realize that global warming will actually save lives? More people die each year of hypothermia than die of heat injuries.
It is a great idea to find alternate sources of energy, oil will not last forever, and if we had renewable energy, or if the United States could at least make all its own energy we wouldn't ever have to fight another war for energy resources. That being said, let us not play into the liberal FUD about saving the environment because of global warming. Don't get off of oil for the environment's sake... Get off oil to let the terrorist harboring middle east oil producing countries wither and collapse.
If Hussein's government wants to be serious about energy, the first thing they need to do is mandate that all government owned vehicles be electrics or hybrids. During the campaign we heard a lot of vague “changes” he will make regarding energy. Lets see if he puts his government on the same level of the people who voted for him. If we are supposed to conserve energy, his government needs to as well, in fact, his government should lead the way.
Hussein, always a man of the people, campaigned hard to get the vote of the poor. He is also a proponent of the alternative fuel ethanol. He cannot be both. Corn based ethanol drives up the cost of corn, and in turn many other foods. What good is taxing the rich to death to give the poor and lazy welfare checks when they still won't be able to afford food because of ethanol? Call us back when you actually want to help people, Hussein.
